About the Journal

The Journal of Clinical Dermatology and Cosmetics (JCDC) is a double-blinded peer-reviewed, Open access, a multidisciplinary journal addressing various aspects of diagnosis, treatment of skin disorders and cosmetic science.

It has been said that the skin is a barrier for many diseases/infections. The skin barrier is important to human life. Physically, it protects from external threats such as infectious agents, chemicals, systemic toxicity and allergens.

Journal of Clinical Dermatology and Cosmetics is devoted to provide most comprehensive updates about the latest on-going trends in the field of treatment and care of skin disorders, therapeutic agents and procedures, cosmetic dermatology, pathological, histological and molecular mechanisms involved in cutaneous diseases, cosmetic surgery, skin rejuvenation, and safety studies.

Word "dermatology" derives from the Greek δέρματος (dermatos), genitive of δέρμα (derma), "skin".

Aim and Scope of the Journal

Dermatology involves the study, research, diagnosis, and management of any health conditions that may affect the skin, hair, nails, and membranes. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist medical doctor who manages diseases related to skin, hair, nails, and cosmetic problems.

Journal of Clinical Dermatology and Cosmetics (JCDC) is a peer-reviewed, Open Access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, clinical case studies, and editorial comments from a wide range of authors including dermatologists, basic research scientists, cosmetologists, and skin experts.

The contents of the journal cover various fields of Dermatology, Cosmetic dermatology, Dermatopathology, Trichology, Immunodermatology, Mohs surgery, Pediatric dermatology, Teledermatology, Dermatoepidemiology.

Standard Open Access welcomes well-illustrated manuscripts that provide novel insight in diverse disciplines within the scope of the journal. It aims to develop a distinctive open-access database for all aspects of cosmetic science and medical, cosmetic and clinical dermatology, where relevant and most up to date information can be obtained.

Peer-review is the system used to assess the quality of a manuscript before it is published. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of the Journal of Clinical Dermatology and Cosmetics or outside experts, at least two to three independent reviewer’s approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. After publishing, articles are freely available online without any restrictions or any other subscriptions to researchers worldwide.
